The grid can be full and still wrong
When the answer is rejected
A full grid is not necessarily a valid accusation. Recheck every association, use the crime clue, and distinguish ordinary evidence from any witness statements the case explicitly tells you to test.
- Re-read the question the accusation is asking. Who, how, and where are three answers.
- A crossed-out clue is normally a clue you clicked to mark as processed. Click again to restore it; crossing it out does not make it false.
- If the difficulty says one person is lying, your full grid used the lie as truth.
- Check that a check in one column crossed the other cells in that column.
- After filling the associations, use the red crime clue to identify the murderer. Read location wording carefully before submitting.
Real misprints exist, and the publisher lists some of them. I only treat a case as a misprint after it appears on the official errata page. A rejected accusation is usually my mark, not their typo.

Questions and answers
I matched every statement and it failed. Now what?
One statement was false, or two columns got swapped. Walk the list above before you look up a solution.
Is a struck-out clue a printing error?
No. On the website, clicking a clue toggles its strike-through as a progress mark. It is not evidence that the clue is false.
